A clean Android workflow
Create or locate the document
Use a document scan feature in Google Drive, Files, or your device camera app, or download the source PDF from the organization that provided it.
Open the saved file
Check that every page is present, upright, legible, and fully downloaded to the device or available through the file picker.
Upload in a current browser
Enter one U.S. fax number and your email, then select the PDF or images. Allow the preparation step to finish before leaving the page.
Confirm, pay, and track
Review the number, page count, and order. Pay the one-time $5 charge and use the status page or email for the final result.
Android file pickers differ, but the fax does not
Android devices can use different camera, gallery, file, and cloud-storage apps. The upload picker may show recent files first or offer providers such as Drive and device storage. What matters is selecting the final supported file, not which app created it.
If the file has a cloud icon or will not preview, download it locally before uploading. Large multipage scans can fail when the phone switches networks or the cloud provider has not finished syncing.

Make camera scans fax-readable
Use the scanner’s crop and contrast tools conservatively. Aggressive black-and-white processing can erase faint handwriting, check marks, seals, or shaded boxes even when typed text looks sharper.
Zoom in after saving. Names, account references, dates, signatures, and checkboxes should remain understandable without relying on color. Retake any page that is blurred or clipped.
Know when the phone is finished
Uploading and preparing happen before payment so you can catch a format or page-count issue without being charged first. Wait for that review step and compare the destination with the source that gave it to you.
After checkout, a queued or sending state is not final delivery. The receiving line still has to answer and complete transmission. Use the final status rather than assuming that payment means the fax arrived.

Can I use mobile data?
