Prepare the file on Chromebook.
Chromebooks can scan from a compatible connected scanner, and printable content can be saved as PDF. Cloud files should finish syncing before the upload begins.

Can a Chromebook fax without an extension?
Yes. A current browser can upload the supported document directly to an online fax service.
Can I upload from Google Drive?
Use the ChromeOS file picker, and make sure the file is fully available before upload.
Can a Chromebook scan paper?
ChromeOS supports scanning with compatible connected scanners. Inspect the saved file before faxing it.
